Ash-fired Character and Luminous Handmade Colour
Ash placed beneath the clay mould carbonizes during firing and transforms the surface into a clear, luminous variation of Impruneta terracotta. The process retains the tactile irregularity of pure handmade cotto while giving Medievale its distinctive, softly varied colour.
